When larger bridging components are encountered in the process of crack propagation, their existence is relatively high. The bridge connecting element is equivalent to erecting a bridge between two opposing crack surfaces, which increases the resistance of crack propagation. If the cracks continue to expand further, the bridging component is destroyed by pulling out from the matrix. This pulling out process will consume a lot of energy and increase the fracture toughness of the product, thereby improving its thermal shock resistance.
