The actual temperature that the refractory product can withstand is slightly higher than the load softening temperature, mainly for two reasons. The degree of compactness of the product also has a certain influence on the softening temperature of the load. The combination of magnesia bricks is generally a low-melting silicate phase such as calcium forsterite and magnesium rosewood. Due to the melting point phase of the periclase crystal, the viscosity at low temperature is low, and the magnesia brick exhibits a low load softening temperature. The starting point should be selected from the hot end to the cold end or from the low end to the high end. The working point should be cleaned and lined to select fire bricks. How to choose insulating bricks

Insulating bricks used in thermal equipment can greatly reduce heat loss and furnace weight and increase thermal efficiency and labor productivity.
For most thermal equipment, to save energy and improve working conditions, insulation is necessary. However, insulation for certain equipment is not necessary because of the advantages and disadvantages of insulation. The principles for selecting insulation bricks include:

1.It should not affect the service life of the entire refractory masonry;

2.For high-temperature furnaces that work continuously, general large-area insulation is reasonable and can reduce heat loss. However, for some special areas, such as open hearth roofs, insulation can reduce the service life. For periodic working furnaces, regenerative heat loss is a major factor in heat loss. Insulation can increase the temperature of the masonry and increase the heat of regeneration. 3.Because insulating bricks have high porosity, they cannot withstand excessive loads and should not be in direct contact with molten metal, slag and high temperature dust.

4.Insulation bricks have low strength. Brick joints and expansion joints should be properly disposed to avoid damage due to volume expansion. Insulating refractory fire bricks should not be subject to strong mechanical vibration, shock and friction;

5.Since the insulating brick has a large reheat linear contraction, the maximum working temperature should be less than 100℃?than the firing temperature.
