As per invitation of Egyptian client, our sales manager and engineer went to Egypt on 4th December, 2015, and stay there for 2 weeks. Our client's steel plant is located in Giza city, about 1 hour far from Cairo. Out of space limit, our clients are using 3T induction furnaces now. Reasons of Why Furnace Built with Changxing Refractory Silica Ramming Mass can Get a Long Using Life
Based on our 30 years experience of medium frequency induction furnace ramming, we find that furnace lining materials quality plays an important role in prolonging furnace using life. It has the following aspects to be concerned.
Firstly, the lining materials should have good character.
1. High bulk density stability and high refractoriness under load, not easy to be melt or soften could make materials not easy to lose strength, appear crack and collapse.
2. Its high thermal shock resistance, good cold and high temperature crush strength could protect furnace wall from cracking and spalling well and could resist to steel liquid slag corrosion.
Secondly, the composition of the refractory material should be strictly controlled.
1. The materials impurities could form low melting point compound under high temperature, which will greatly reduces the materials’ refractoriness, meanwhile, the service life of crucible will greatly reduced. 2. For this lining materials, should have following standard: (SiO2):96.0% or higher; (Al2O3) 0.5% or less; (Fe2O3) 0.5% or less; (TiO2) 0.05% or less; (H2O) 0.5% or less. Thirdly, refractory material particle size ratio is the key element. 1. Reasonable ratio of particle size, can be easily formed high density refractory layer for the furnace, which will avoid in defects during using process.

How to Make Tundish Nozzle and Well Block Match with Tundish Lining
When choosing silica ramming mass as tundish lining, the expected service life could be 36-60 hours, but the service lives of tundish nozzle well block are not as long, in this case, how to ensure continuous casting? Here are two options:
1. Using normal sizing nozzle and well block. The service life for normal sizing nozzle and well block is only 8-10 hours, under this condition, we need to change the nozzle and well block every 8-10 hours, which is very time and energy consuming and affect continuous casting to a certain extent.
2. Using exchangeable nozzle and well block. The service life of upper exchangeable nozzle and well block is 24-30 hours, which gives longer continuous casting time, we only need to change the lower nozzle, of course every coin has two sides, under this condition, a set of exchanging mechanism is needed, the cost will be comparatively higher.
Users can choose either of those two options according to practical needs.
There are some essential differences between graphite carburant and coal quality carburant:
First: The raw material of those two carburant is different. Graphite carburant is made from filtered natural graphite, and coal quality carburant is produced from burning anthracite.
