Requirements on gunning mix used in convertor

1.Refractoriness of ladle gunning mix should be high enough to withstand the high temperature effects in the convertor;
2.Gunning mix should be able to adhere onto the lining material, rebounce and drop should be as few as possible;
3.The adhered layer of gunning mix should be able to be sintered and integrated with the lining refractory material and with enough strength;
4.Gunning mix should be able to endure the erosion of slag, molten steel, furnace gas and steam of metallic oxide;
5.Linear expansion and shrinkage of gunning mix should be as small as possible, better close to zero, or stress could occur, which will cause spalling;
6.Gunning mix should be able to flow smoothly within the gunning machine and hose.
