Delelopment of continues casting and tundish

There have many kinds of refractory products in our factory.Such as Clay Insulating Bricks,refractory castable,refractory materials.CCM first appear in 1950s, it is characterized by fast casting and focus investment. CCM technology was developing in a very fast speed. In Year 1970, CCM only took 5.6% all over the world, while the data reached 62.4% in Year 1990, and in some developed countries, it was even 95%. In recent years, many steel plants adapted CCM instead of mould casting. Until Year 1994, in total 24 countries are of full CCM now.

Compared with traditional mould casting, CCM can improve metal recycle rate and low down power consumption. CCM can make the melting work simple and short the melting time, in which way the production efficiency can improve in a large degree.?Tundish is a middle progress of steel making, and it is the kep point which can decide continues casting or not. Furthermore, tundish would have a big effect on melten steel quantity and quality. Its functions are as following.

1.Diversion. For multi-strand CCM machine, the melten steel would be divided from tundish.
2.Continues casting. When multi-furnace continuous casting, tundish can be a holder when changing ladle.
3.Lowing down presure.
4.Protecting melten steel quality. Through using covering agent,long nozzle and other protecting device, tundish can help to protect the melten steel quality.

Covering agent for molten steel

Generally speaking, there are three different kinds covering agent, which are ladle covering agent, tundish covering agent and hot metal ladle covering agent. There have many kinds of refractory products in our factory ,such as refractory nozzle,Clay Insulating Bricks,refractory raw materials.The mainly function of them are same as following:
1. Molten steel insulating. This is also the mainly function for covering agent. When pouring on molten steel, which can break and spread out in a short time, and protect molten steel from air. Covering agent can make sure cooling speed of molten steel less than 0.5℃/min.
2. Molten steel purifying. Convering agent also can purify molten steel when working. It can absorb impurity in molten steel.?
3. Lubrication action.It can protect billet steel from defect.?

According to different furnace and different working layer of furnace, covering agent can be made into four different types, which are acid covering agent, alkalescent covering agent, neutral covering agent and double layer covering agent.

Characteristic of magnesia carbon brick

Magnesia carbon brick is made from high purity magnesia sand and additive agent. Manufacturing process include mixing raw material, shaping by pressure machine and drying with high temperature kiln.
