Reasons for steel leakage between ladle slide gate and preventive measures

 The sealing protection of the ladle sliding nozzle is mainly at the connection between the upper nozzle and the upper slide, and the lower slide and the lower nozzle. In the pouring process, generally after pouring one or two furnaces of molten steel, the lower slide plate and the nozzle must be replaced and reassembled. Hydraulic transmission of sliding nozzle: Large and medium-sized ladle generally use hydraulic transmission to solve the problem of opening and closing of sliding nozzle. Hydraulic transmission is driven by liquid (common oil) as the working medium. Because the liquid has almost incompressible characteristics, when the liquid is filled with a closed container (consisting of oil pumps, pipes, valves, cylinders, etc.), the liquid is pressurized by the oil pump, and it can lose this pressure through pipes, valves, etc. It is transmitted to the oil cylinder very small, causing the oil cylinder to move and realizing hydraulic operation.

Reasons for steel leakage between ladle slide gate and preventive measures :

(1)The reason for the leakage of the gap between the drain and the lower sliding plate: the sliding plate is not baked after pre-installation; the cement is not evenly coated during installation, resulting in gaps; there are bricks in the cement to make the contact loose.
Preventive measures: The fire mud must be clean during installation, the joints must be evenly seamed, and can only be used after baking and drying.

(2)The reason for the leakage of the upper and lower slide plates: the sliding surface is not flat; the upper and lower slide plates are cracked at the edge of the injection hole; the adjustment operation is not tight or the front and back are uneven.
Preventive measures: pay attention to choosing flat skateboards. Do not use skateboards without steel hoops to prevent cracking at the edge of the injection hole; adjustment operations should be tight and even before and after.

(3) The reason for the leakage of the gap between the upper nozzle?and the upper sliding plate: the upper sliding plate and the upper sliding plate are not evenly coated with mud; the mass in the fire mud causes the male and female mouths to be insufficiently deep and disconnected; the gap is too large.
Preventive measures: the fire mud should be clean, and the joints should be evenly cracked.

Dry vibration mix is an amorphous refractory that is formed by vibration without adding water or liquid binder. The effect and function of tundish furnace

 The continuous casting tundish was originally used for the heat preservation of molten steel, and its main purpose was to distribute and rectify molten steel. With the successful development of technologies such as slow cooling of molten steel, molten steel reheating technology, argon gas sealing technology, gas stirring technology and removal of non-metallic inclusions in molten steel, continuous casting tundishes have become the most important part of the final stage of the steel smelting process. 1 Purification function

To produce high-purity clean steel, install porous air-permeable bricks at the bottom of the tundish or embed porous tubular gas distributors between the working layer and permanent layer, or install porous bricks on the slag retaining wall to blow argon to make argon bubbles. Float evenly from the bottom to promote the removal of inclusions. These devices can eliminate the hydrogenation of molten steel in the initial stage of pouring, reduce the oxide inclusions in the molten steel, and reduce the defects caused by AI2O3 inclusions on the tin plate.

2 Temperature adjustment function

4 Refining function

In the tundish, induction heating and plasma heating are used to accurately control the molten steel pouring temperature within ±3~5℃. In the initial stage of continuous casting, the tundish heating is used at the end of ladle pouring to compensate for the decrease in molten steel temperature and keep the molten steel temperature near the target. This is conducive to the stability of the pouring operation and improves the quality of the slab. During the pouring period, proper heating can compensate for the natural cooling of molten steel.
